The Beaver

  1. A beaver is a thing that looks like a big fat ground hog with a big fat tail and big fat teeth that it uses to cut down trees. Some have been known to cut this big l________________________________________l or bigger in diameter. (It's very rare.)
  2. HOW DOES IT FELL A TREE? Chop chop chop chop chop etc. etc. etc. (And might I add etc?) It uses its "big fat teeth". Well, I say well, what do you know. I thought it would use its "big fat tail"!!!!! like you use a hatchet to hit (or chop as the case may be) up high than lower to make chunks come out.
  3. GIVE REASONS WHY WE CALL THE BEAVER AN ENGINEER. It makes stuff. Stuff being alot of stumps, a "house" with tunnels gong inside and out of the "house" to the out side. If there are lots of "houses" close together they will make a thing over the top of all them so there's more protection.
  4. HOW DOES IT PREPARE FOR WINTER? It can dig "cellars" (i use "bla bla bla" alot) in the bottom of the lake or pond to store lots of food.
  5. HOW DOES THE BEAVER SHOW PATIENCE, INTELLIGENCE, AND INDUSTRY? Going chop, chop, chop, chip, chip, chip, chop, chop, chop, chop for hours on end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you think that's not patient, I don't know what is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Storing food, making the "big houses," keeping it strong enough to hold things out that want to have beaver and rabbit stew for supper! It builds dams and stops leaks! It is an animal that can build stuff. Can you name one other animal that builds stuff (tunnels do NOT come close to counting as stuff)? I didn't think so.

  1. Brownie Beaver

Brownie Beaver, like all beavers, could do many things that other forest people are not able to do at all. Cutting down a tree is one of the things that only a beaver can do.

When Brownie Beaver saw a tree he wanted to cut down, he set to work at once. He did not even go home to get any tools. There was no need to do this. He always had his tools with him. For strange as it may seem, he used his teeth to do his wood-cutting.
